Heatshrink SATA - BLUE
Blue MDPC SATA-Heatshrink: 0.70 meters of SATA-Heatshrink are more than plenty for 5 meters of SATA-Sleeve. It just fits over the connector and then it shrinks to create extreme pressure on the underlying SATA-Sleeve so that it can't slip out anymore when it gets stretched with high force.
In the rare case that it's too hard to get the heatshrink over your SATA-connector, there is a simple solution: Put the heatshrink on the tips of long-nosed pliers or similar solutions and stretch it from the inside. Take it off and try to put it over the connector. Stretch until it works :-)
This heatshrink is also used to "stealth" (for example) your fan- or USB-connectors by shrinking partly over the plastic housing which results in a smooth transition with no visible cable: No compromise!
If you change or modify your sleeved cables later on, you will always need new heatshrink.
